What Kurate is

Kurate is a controlled demo service for searching and reviewing a curated scientific evidence database. It is not a public medical advice service and it is not intended to receive patient-identifiable information.

Account information

If you have access to the hosted demo, we store the account details needed to authenticate you, maintain your session, and administer access. This may include your email address, password hash/verifier, session records, and password reset records.

Queries and usage records

When you run a query, Kurate may store the query text, generated answer, citations, timing information, and related artifacts so the result can be reopened, audited, and improved. Avoid entering personal health data, patient identifiers, confidential records, or information you are not permitted to share.

Cookies and browser storage

Kurate uses an essential session cookie for sign-in on deployments with authentication enabled. The interface also uses local browser storage for workflow state such as recent page state, query settings, active query jobs, and the last opened report. See the cookies notice for details.

Analytics and advertising

The hosted demo does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, or third-party analytics scripts. If non-essential analytics or tracking are added later, they should not be enabled without the appropriate notice and consent controls.

Security and retention

We use access controls, HTTPS, and server-side controls intended to protect the demo environment. Query artifacts and account/session records may be retained for operational, audit, debugging, and product-improvement purposes. They can be removed as part of normal operational cleanup or account administration.
